Lesley
James was born in Bakewell, Derbyshire and has lived in Wales
for many years. The beauty of the countryside has always been
an inspiration but it took many years of merely talking about
painting, and encouragement from friends, before she finally
took up her brush.
“I
take time to ‘sit and stare’, hoping I can transfer
what I see onto the canvas – my style is traditional
and representational in oils on canvas.
